Why You Fail – Skate across America Day 103

January 14th, 2011

Total Distance for today: 0 miles
Total Distance for Tour: approx. 572 miles
LOCATION: Carrboro, NC (Just west of Chapel Hill, NC)
STATUS: Just began 400+ mile Couchsurfing extravaganza to Atlanta – sans RV! Taking quick rest, as I was unable to secure a place in Burlington (my next stop) until Saturday evening.

Maybe the reason why you find yourself stuck in the “eternal rut” and never able to reach your goals is this:

You continually fail to clearly define your vision and state precisely what you want to achieve, and you fail to stick to that vision. Since you have no clear goal, you become an eternal opportunist who jumps from one fad to the next but never really makes any progress. Maybe, just maybe, focusing your attention on establishing a vision for yourself and then ruthlessly using strategy to move toward that vision, is the piece of the puzzle you are missing.
