Nothing’s harder than leaving this tour and coming back. Many of you know that I flew home again to visit with my grandfather before his passing. I didn’t really want to leave the tour again, but he invested a lot in my life. I wanted to see him before he went. I ended up being caught in Michigan a bit longer than planned, as I had to produce some cash-flow before coming back. It’s amazing what you can achieve, if you think creatively and strategically about how you can provide the solution to someone else’s problem… I was able to do just that and drum-up some cash before flying back.

I have an interesting change to report about the tour: I have a new driver. We decided that we need Dillon at home working on MotorCityChallenge. Bob Piesz, who was originally going to be a part of the tour has now joined us again. We flew back into Mississippi Tuesday and drove the motor home back to my last skate location in Meridian, MS. Funny thing: I was not expecting to be charged for two parking spaces in long-term parking at Jackson International airport. OOPS! $440… After explaining our situation and running back and forth a bit, we were able to pay just $220. Here’s to another dodged bullet!

In talking to a number of people, I get the impression that I have been doing a poor job of communicating exactly what is going on through the blog. That’s not good. For that reason, I have decided to “reboot” the blog and facebook page with more relevant and up to date content. I’m an easily distracted person, so I need to make extra effort to keep you in the loop with highlights, updates, and interesting footage.

Distance Since last Update: 29 miles
Total Distance for Tour: approx. 1362 miles
LOCATION: Newton, MS
STATUS: In route to Jackson, MS
